Stone Shop Saw and CNC Operator

Overview:

We are seeking a mechanically inclined, detail oriented, and safety minded individual to join our Production Team in the role of Stone Shop Saw and CNC Operator. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a production environment that utilizes Digital Saw and CNC technology, the ability or desire to learn how to maintain their assigned machines, a strong sense of team that drives them to assist their coworkers while their machines are running, and an interest in how things are made.

We are a family owned, custom surface manufacturer in Greensboro, NC. We build countertops, reception desks, showers, furniture pieces, and more for a variety of customers from your neighbors down the street to local hospitals to even professional sports stadiums. Responsibilities:

• Operating Park Industries Digital Water Saws and CNCs to cut, shape, and finish stone materials.
• Utilizing machine specific software to perform safe, accurate, and efficient operation of CAD programs as well as keep up with machine maintenance needs.
• Utilize a tablet to view and result pending job activities in our industry specific ERP software.
• Load and unload stone from your machines using an overhead crane and a team of co-workers.
• Quickly communicate obstacles or needs to management to ensure production timelines are met.
• Assist in the upkeep of the stone shop area.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Experience with Digital Water Saws and/or CNCs and their software.
• Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
• The ability to stand for long periods of time, climb up and down on machines, and work in various weather conditions.
• Familiarity with hand tools and experience following maintenance instructions.
• Effective communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Team player who wants to help with other tasks while their machines are running.
• The ability and desire to work Saturdays as needed based on our production schedule.

Typical Work Hours: 6AM - 4PM

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
