Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Front Desk Dental Receptionist to join our team. The applicant must have experience working in a dental practice. The successful candidate will play a key role in effectively communicating with patients regarding finance options, insurance coverage, and payment plans. Additionally, the Front Desk Associate will be responsible for patient check-in/out, answering phones, verifying insurance, scheduling recall appointments, presenting and scheduling treatment plans, and securing financial commitments from patients at the time of scheduling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answering Phones.
- Manage patient check-in/out processes efficiently, ensuring a smooth flow of appointments.
- Verify insurance coverage and process claims accurately and promptly.
- Schedule recall appointments and follow up with patients as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with patients about finance options, including insurance coverage, out-of-pocket expenses, and payment plans (such as Care Credit, Lending Club, Proceed Finance).
- Present and schedule treatment plans to patients, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Secure financial commitments from patients at the time of scheduling and collect surgical deposits when applicable.
- Manage the daily, weekly, and monthly calendar to meet production and collection goals.
- Track all new patients and consults in the database to identify treatment acceptance opportunities and optimize practice scheduling.
- Coordinate appointments with the general dentist for certain procedures, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
- Provide assistance to the Insurance Coordinator and other team members as needed.
- Perform other duties as required to support the smooth operation of the practice.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting preferred, with a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in dental software and Google Office suite.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude, team-oriented mindset, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $16.00 per hour
