Summary: We are looking for a Part-time (approx. 20 hours per week) Radiology Technician to join our team and work directly with patients at our offices in and around Charlotte to perform liver scan radiologic imaging procedures. This position will play a vital role in helping Doctors, and other healthcare professionals diagnose and treat patients in our facility. The Ultrasound Technician will work closely with patients, ensuring their comfort and safety while obtaining accurate and detailed imaging results.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Conduct AI guided 3D S-Wave ultrasound elastography of the liver.
• Position patients and equipment to capture the correct area and produce clear images
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the examination
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Regularly clean and calibrate machines as required.
• Capture high-quality diagnostic images, using appropriate settings and techniques to ensure accurate results. Review images for clarity and completeness before submission.
• Log and organize image results, develop film and assist with the interpretation of the radiograph results
• Consult with Physicians as needed to determine if other images need to be taken
• Accurately document patient information, examination details, and any pertinent findings. Ensure all records are complete and up to date.
• Upload images and report to gMed and task ordering physician.
• Ensure the proper sterilization and storage of the equipment
• Maintain radiographic equipment, and report any equipment failures
• Adhere to all safety, health, and regulatory guidelines, including infection control protocols. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations.
• Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques. Participate in continuing education and training opportunities as required

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ and or Experience:
- Obtain Operator Training certificate of completion from Sonic Incytes
- Proven work experience as a Radiology Technician or similar role
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to operate and understand radiographic technology and equipment
- The physical stamina to stand for long periods and operate heavy machinery without assistance
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in radiography is preferred
Specialized Knowledge Required – Including any required certificates, licenses, and registrations
- Sonic Incytes Training Certification required
- Great attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
