What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phone Operator-Medical Office position at Carolina ENT-Sinus and Allergy Center, P.A.?
We are looking for a multi-tasking Superstar to join our Phone Team. The position's primarily responsible for answering busy multi-line telephone, taking messages, directing calls to the proper departments, and scheduling appointments as needed based on call volume.
If you have the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, communicate effectively on the telephone, relate to persons with diverse educational and socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, handle “Call Center” fast paced environment, multi-task and demonstrate good customer service, then we have an opportunity for you! Working hours will be 8 hours per day from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, or as needed; some incidences of work beyond the normal business hours should be expected based on patient demand. Professional medical office setting without significant variation in temperature or lightning. Performance of basic physical functions of finger dexterity, grasping, clearly understood speaking, hearing, sight (far and near to include data, figures, and computer equipment), and repetitive motion. Performance of primarily sedentary work, sitting for extensive periods of time; occasional lifting or moving of object weighing up to 20 pounds.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Graduation from High School or Equivalency.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- High volume call center experience a plus.
- 1 year Customer service experience, medical office experience a plus.
