Job Responsibilities:
The position is responsible for various accounting and financial reporting functions of Lenovo Center, Carolina Hurricanes and related entities and will report to the Controller.

- Review and authorize payment requests in compliance with company policies.
- Administer Nexonia expense reporting system for corporate cards and reimbursements.
- Prepare and record monthly journal entries.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet and bank account reconciliations.
- Ensure a timely and accurate month-end closing process.
- Perform budget to actual variance analysis on financial statements.
- Prepare and maintain financial information in Excel and Intacct accounting system.
- Maintain and create event scheduling in employee management system (ABI).
- Perform financial settlements for arena shows during each event.
- Produce post-event profit and loss reports for all arena events.
- Assist with audit documentation requests related to annual external audit(s).
- Assist with Carolina Hurricanes Foundation accounting and annual 990 filing.
- Complete quarterly/annual music license reporting.
- Complete mandatory government survey reporting as needed.
- Drive process and reporting improvement initiatives within the Finance Department.
- Establish and maintain detailed documentation on the processes and procedures of accounting functions.
- Perform special projects as assigned by the CFO, Controller, or arena management.
Experience:
- Qualified candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- CPA candidate is preferred.
- Must have a thorough and demonstrated understanding of the complete accounting process and accounting systems.
- The candidate must be able to work efficiently and independently with strong attention to detail, as well as possess excellent written/verbal communication skills.
- Considerable knowledge and skills in Excel (V/XLookups, Sumifs, Pivot Tables) and other Microsoft Office products required.
- Experience with Intacct, Nexonia, Toast, Square and/or TicketMaster Archtics/TM1 a plus.
- Position requires occasional flexible work schedule including some nights and weekends during concert/show events.
- Must pass a criminal background check.
This is not a remote position. Candidate must be able to report to the office on a daily basis.
