What are the responsibilities and job description for the Insurance Defense Paralegal position at CAROLINA LEGAL ASSOCIATES?
CLA has an immediate need for multiple experienced insurance defense paralegals for prominent law firms in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidates must have 3-5 years of experience working in a defense law firm and be able to hit the ground running. The firms offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits package to the ideal candidates.
Sample responsibilities :
- Preparation and service of Pleadings
- Maintaining case documents / databases
- Reviewing case documents and preparing case chronologies
- Preparing the first draft of discovery including drafting and answering interrogatories, requests for production, and requests to admit
- Drafting and serving subpoenas
- Legal Document preparation and drafting including pleadings, motions, trial documents, etc.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and SC Civil Procedure requirements
- Must be comfortable with state and federal e-filing
