What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Paralegal position at Carolina Legal Associates?
We are searching for a litigation paralegal for a plaintiff's firm in Myrtle Beach, SC. The ideal Litigation Paralegal candidate will assist attorneys in all stages of the litigation process from maintaining case documents / databases, discovery work, drafting and answering interrogatories, requests for production, and requests to admit. Must be comfortable with state and federal e-filing and be able to assist in all aspects of case management. Candidates must have strong communication skills to communicate with both clients and attorneys.
Sample responsibilities :
- Preparation and service of Pleadings
- Maintaining case documents / databases
- Reviewing case documents and preparing case chronologies
- Preparing the first draft of discovery including drafting and answering interrogatories, requests for production, and requests to admit
- Drafting and serving subpoenas
- Legal Document preparation and drafting including pleadings, motions, trial documents, etc.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and SC Civil Procedure requirements
- Must be comfortable with state and federal e-filing
