Carolina Legal Staffing is seeking a Mid-Level Real Estate Associate to join our dynamic team. We are looking for a candidate with a robust background in commercial real estate law and a proven history of successfully representing clients in a variety of real estate transactions and legal matters.
In this role, you will represent clients in acquisitions, dispositions, financings, common and preferred equity investments, leases, development, zoning matters, ownership, joint ventures and corporate governance. You will provide legal counsel to developers, investors and represent lenders in real property secured financings. Additionally, you will negotiate and draft agreements for various real estate transactions and represent clients in zoning appeals, property tax assessments, and workforce housing agreements.
The ideal candidate will possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, be eligible for admission to the South Carolina Bar, and demonstrate the ability to independently manage and close complex real estate transactions. A minimum of five years of experience in commercial real estate law is required. Strong expertise in real estate finance, zoning, entitlement, and land use is essential. Experience negotiating joint ventures, and representing developers, lenders, and institutional clients is preferred.
