We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Masonry Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and completion of commercial masonry projects in the Charlotte area. This position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage all aspects of masonry work, including budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all phases of commercial masonry projects, from pre-construction to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost tracking, procurement, and change orders.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and building codes on all projects.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other contractors to ensure that all masonry work meets design and engineering specifications.
- Lead and supervise the masonry crew, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and productivity.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, providing regular project updates and addressing any concerns or changes.
- Manage and track material orders, deliveries, and inventory to ensure smooth workflow and avoid delays.
- Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, specifications, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittals.
- Perform site inspections to ensure work is progressing as scheduled, within budget, and in compliance with contract specifications.
- Handle project-related issues or challenges as they arise, finding solutions to keep the project on track.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience managing commercial masonry projects.
- Strong knowledge of masonry materials, techniques, and methods (brick, block, stone, etc.).
- Excellent project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and interact with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Excel, Project).
- OSHA 30-hour certification preferred.
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field (preferred but not required).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move around construction sites and perform safety inspections.
- Must be able to lift equipment or materials up to 50 lbs.
