What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Representative - Rock HIll position at Carolina Neurosurgery & Spine Associates?
We are searching for compassionate and energetic individuals to join our team! We are seeking a Full-Time Patient Representative in our Rock Hill office. Travel to Ballantyne and Matthews may be required. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of customer service experience; medical office customer service is highly favored. Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment while insuring excellent patient care. Must be able to work as part of a cohesive team, maintain accuracy and be dependable.
- Checks in patients, collects payments, verifies and/or updates insurance. Obtains proper insurance documentation and demographic information.
- Processes new patient paperwork and/or updated paperwork.
- Follows established procedures to prepare for upcoming appointments.
- Explains insurance authorization to patients as necessary.
- Schedules follow up appointments as requested by physician
- Counts Petty cash and documents on log.
- Complies with all our processes and HIPAA regulations.
- Applies our values in decision-making and interactions with all individuals.
- Promotes a positive work environment through effective teamwork.
- Other duties as assigned by changing needs, patient flow, or physician request.

Hours:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 am-5:00 pm
Travel to Ballantyne and Matthews may be required.
