Position Overview
We are seeking a full-time Licensed Behavioral Health Urgent Care Clinician to provide brief, focused crisis counseling to clients aged four and older. This role is essential in meeting the immediate needs of clients and families by delivering targeted interventions that address acute mental health challenges.
You will assess strengths and immediate needs, determine appropriate brief intervention treatment modalities, and provide services directly to clients and their natural supports.
Location: Durham, NC
Compensation: starting at $56,445
Key Responsibilities
Crisis Counseling and Interventions
- Deliver individual and family crisis counseling sessions tailored to the needs and diagnoses of each client.
- Implement brief therapeutic interventions, behavioral interventions, psycho-education, and evidence-based practices.
- Provide immediate support to assist clients in stabilizing and managing crises effectively.
Collaboration and Training
- Work closely with clients, families, natural supports, and collateral agencies to identify and meet immediate needs.
- Offer brief training to parents, guardians, or caregivers to support the development of effective behavior management strategies.
- Actively participate in clinical team planning and service delivery.
Documentation and Compliance
- Complete all required documentation, including treatment notes, goals, plans, service consent forms, and discharge summaries, in a timely and accurate manner.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
- Licensure: Full or provisional mental health license in North Carolina (e.g., LCMHC, LCSW, LMFT).
- Strong commitment to providing evidence-based practices and crisis intervention.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
