We are seeking a part-time Substance Use Disorder Therapist to provide the following services:
The Substance Use Disorder therapist will provide group and individual substance abuse mental health counseling to substance abuse consumers. The person in this position will work with clients and families/natural supports to assess their strengths and needs in order to determine the type(s) of treatment modalities needed and then provide those services directly.
Description of Responsibilities and Duties:
- Direct Services
- Assess and monitor client’s mental health and substance abuse needs through comprehensive clinical assessment or diagnostic assessment.
- Work to implement therapeutic interventions, crisis interventions, behavioral interventions, psych-educational activities, and other best evidence-based practice therapies available
- Provide individual, family, or group therapy to clients and their families/natural supports, based on needs, diagnoses, and best evidence-based practices and in a way that adheres to the Agency’s core values
- Provide any required documentation, which includes treatment notes, goals, comprehensive clinical assessment/diagnostic assessments, and plans for the medical record (e.g., service notes, PCP, etc.)
- Work with clients/families/natural supports to assess strengths/needs, assist with planning, developing, implementing, and assessing treatment and ancillary services.
- Recommend the types of treatment modalities needed and provide these services directly or by referral.
- Develop/evaluate the service plan to ensure that services are being delivered and are appropriate to the needs of the client.
- Act as an advocate in the community.
- Be available to respond as needed to clients, co-workers and supervisees 24/7/365.
- Respond to consumer and/or stakeholder concerns or complaints as needed.
