Description
Position Summary:
- Responsible for general ledger accounting which includes creating journal entries, posting journal entries, and reconciling balance sheet accounts.
- Position must ensure GAAP principles. Responsible for generating month end financial reports and distributing them to leadership.
- Assist in variance analysis of accounts and reporting those results to leadership.
- Assist CFO/Controller/VP of Physician Practices in data analysis and creation of ad hoc reports as necessary.
- Position will assist with the preparation of key financial indicators.
- Position will work with VP of Physician Practices to understand contract terms of providers.
- Responsible for calculating bonuses earned based on contract terms.
- Position will maintain confidentiality with sensitive contract and payroll data.
- Assist Controller with audit requests from internal and external auditors.
- Position will perform/assist quarterly contract compliance audits on provider contracts in accounts payable.
- Position will perform/assist with monthly audits of charge reconciliations for revenue generating departments in hospital.
- The position will provide fiscal support services to Clinic office managers and providers.
Essential Functions:

- Accumulates data for the preparation of the financial statements and other reporting requirements in a timely manner.
- Prepares assigned worksheets accurately.
- Accumulates data for journal entry preparation and prepares journal entries in an accurate and timely manner.
- Monitors general ledger report for accuracy and balances supporting schedules back to the general ledger.
- Comply budget information for the hospital accurately and distributes departmental budget reports timely.
- Carries out special projects as designated by the CEO, CFO and the Regional Controller. Gathers financial data requested internally and by outside agencies timely.

- Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years General Ledger experience.
- Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
