**Hybrid schedule of 3 days in office per week**
Summary and Objective: The Accounting Manager will assist the Controller with the month-end close process, with the day-to-day financial operations of the segments, and with oversight of a team of Staff Accountants. The Accounting Manager has overall responsibility for the integrity of the general ledger, general accounting functions and the maintenance of appropriate controls.
Essential Functions
- Responsibility for integrity of the general ledger and the maintenance of appropriate controls.
- Responsibility for the monthly close process and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and P&L accounts for multiple segments
- Work closely with FP&A in preparation of monthly management reporting.
- Supervise and mentor Staff Accountants.
- Provides request and support to external auditors, as required.
- Provide professional financial and accounting support to operational initiatives.
- Responsible for sales and use tax and property tax, including coordination of information sharing with external tax provider.
- Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to management for multiple segments
- Provide support for special ad-hoc projects and analytics as required.
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- CPA designation or working towards CPA is a plus.
- 5 years’ experience in a large commercial business, multi location preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills: including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP required.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
- Strong analytical, communication (both written and verbal) and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently, or as part of a team, under tight timelines and pressure.
- Previous supervisory experience required.
Salary : $110,000 - $125,000
