Global Sourcing Manager Summary: The Global Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies that drive cost efficiency, supplier quality, and supply chain resilience on a global scale. This role will involve managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market trends. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a strategic mindset, and extensive experience in global procurement and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement global sourcing strategies to achieve cost savings, mitigate risks, and ensure supply chain continuity.
Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure alignment with quality, delivery, and cost objectives. Plus monitor KPI's and implement initiatives.
Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers to ensure organizational standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, and product teams, to understand sourcing needs and deliver value.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, environmental, and market-related challenges.
Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in sourcing processes and tools.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management for a manufacturer.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with global suppliers and understanding international trade regulations.
- Proficiency in sourcing tools and technologies (e.g., ERP systems, procurement platforms).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be familiar with The Harmonized Tariff Schedule as put forth by the United States International Trade Commission.
- Ability to travel internationally as needed ( on average 1-2 international trips per year)
Salary : $120,000 - $135,000
