Job description
We are looking for a Rollback Driver/Mechanic to transport equipment in a safe and timely manner. Driver responsibilities include arranging regular cleaning and maintenance services for the vehicle, planning each route based on road and traffic conditions and managing payments. This role also includes servicing equipment. To be considered for this role, you should have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record with no traffic violations.
Responsibilities
- Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
- Pick up/drop off rental equipment from the place and at the time they’ve requested
- Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
- Answer clients’ questions about the equipment and use of equipment
- Check equipment in and out
- Service equipment as needed
- Keep yard and equipment organized and clean
Skills
- Proven experience as a Driver
- A valid driver’s license
- A clean driving record
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Knowledge of rental equipment or willingness to learn
- Knowledge of area roads and neighborhoods
- Ability to operate rental equipment/machinery
- A polite and professional disposition
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations (e.g. at rush hour)
- A high school diploma
- CDL Certified would be preferred
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Salary : $15 - $20
