Our floral department creates stunning, custom floral designs for weddings, corporate events, and social gatherings. We are seeking a Floral Processor to support our floral team by ensuring all fresh flowers are handled, processed, and maintained to the highest standards.
Job Summary:
The Floral Processor is responsible for receiving, inspecting, processing, and preparing fresh flowers for event design. This role ensures that all floral materials are properly cared for, stored, and prepared for the design team. Attention to detail, efficiency, and care in handling delicate flowers are critical for success in this position.
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule based on event production needs, including early mornings, weekends, and some holidays.
Key Responsibilities:
Floral Processing & Care:
- Receive, inspect, and unpack floral shipments to ensure quality and freshness.
- Properly hydrate, clean, and condition flowers to maximize their longevity.
- Remove damaged petals, leaves, and stems before handing off to the design team.
- Maintain accurate inventory of floral supplies and report shortages or issues.
- Organize and store flowers in coolers or designated areas per care guidelines.
Workstation & Equipment Maintenance:
- Keep floral workstations, tools, and buckets sanitized and organized.
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of floral waste.
- Assist in maintaining an efficient workflow in the floral production area.
Team Support & Logistics:
- Assist designers with floral prep, such as wiring, taping, and sorting blooms.
- Support with flower transport and organization for event setup.
- Work efficiently under deadlines to meet event production schedules.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior experience in floral processing, floral design, or flower handling preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift and carry buckets of flowers, work on your feet for long hours, and handle perishable materials with care.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well within a team.
- Passion for flowers, floral artistry, and luxury event design.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Part-time with a flexible schedule based on event production needs.
- Some early mornings, weekends, and holiday work may be required.
- Work is primarily done in a floral production space and requires handling fresh flowers, water, and tools in a temperature-controlled environment.
