Well respected Carolina's based Real Estate Developer is searching for an Engineering Project Manager to join their team long-term in beautiful Charleston, SC.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties: Identifying and selecting consultants; negotiating contracts and scopes; managing project schedules; managing tenant and landlord engineers; obtaining necessary permits; managing the bidding process; evaluating bids; selecting contractors; handling pre-construction tasks (bonds, permits). Managing 12-15 projects concurrently.
Key Qualifications and Skills: Experience in project management within retail, engineering, or construction; experience with a developer; ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; strong communication and negotiation skills; ability to manage schedules and identify critical paths; ability to work with multiple stakeholders. Familiarity with pre-construction processes.
Certifications/Educational Requirements: Civil Engineering, Building Science, Building Construction, or related degrees are common among candidates. PE License or EIT is a plus.
Ideal Experience Level:
- 5-7 years of experience in a relevant role.
- Experience in project management within retail, engineering, or construction.
- Experience with a developer or large retailer or Engineering firm.
- Prior experience managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Experience in pre-construction and permitting.
- Proven ability to manage budgets and schedules.
