Full-Time Medical A / R- Billing Coordinator - Rock Hill, SC and Charlotte, NC
Carolina Sinus Center is a well-established specialty practice with three locations in North and South Carolina. We are looking for a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual with a positive attitude to join the billing department. The ideal candidate must have the ability to manage a full revenue cycle for a medical practice, credentialing with insurance companies and have accurate coding skills.
The Accounts Receivable Medical Billing Coordinators responsibilities include but not limited to :
- Accounts Receivables - 30, 60, 90, 120, 120 follow up and collection
- Daily posting of clinical and surgical charges with auditing of proper codes and modifiers
- Daily submission of claims to insurance electronically and by paper to secondary
- Swift follow up and tracking of unpaid claims
- Maintains up to date knowledge of fee schedules
- Maintains and applies expert knowledge of electronic claim filing
- Handles corrections and re-submission of claims
- Responds to inquiries from the insurance company, patients, and providers.
- Respond to all insurance company requests and provide information in a prompt and professional manner
- Review EOBs (remittances) to ensure proper reimbursement of claims and report any problems, issues, or payer trends to supervisor
- Interpret fee schedules and have ability to utilize to ensure proper payment receipt
- Payment posting in EMR
- Quickly identifies and resolves billing, coding discrepancies
- Patient and insurance accounts receivable status and follow-up
- Timely submission of appeals for unpaid claims
- Posting of Insurance and patient payments (EFT and EOB's)
- Communication with patients regarding unpaid balances
- Distribution of patient statements
- Presentation of monthly A / R and financial reporting
- Be familiar with Medicare / Medicaid and commercial insurance to credential providers
- Training of front desk and billing staff on A / R and denials.
- Willingness to help with front office support when needed
Preferred Candidate should have at least 1-3 years full revenue cycle for a medical practice and billing experience for a medical practice ENT specialty a plus.
