 Position Summary: 

The Performance Engineering (PE) team is a dynamic department responsible for discovery, troubleshooting, and solution creation for a variety of issues across the organization. The central focus of our work surrounds PV plant performance and an ideal candidate has the ability to problem solve creatively while tracking a plethora of issues. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Daily monitoring of PV generator plant performance and fault evaluation 
  • CMMS work order creation and management 
  • Logistical and technical engineering support for maintenance & asset management teams 
  • Client and utility engagement (professional and technical) 
  • Statistical analysis of datasets, including meteorological and power generation datasets 

  

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 
  • Strong organization skills 
  • Ability to manage issues to resolution 
  • Near excessive attention to detail necessary 
  • Ability to stay calm and collected while working under pressure 
  • Ability to prioritize work based on internal and external needs

 

Minimum Qualifications (one of the following): 

  • Degree in engineering, math, or other technical field of study 
  • 1 years in renewable field 
  • 1 years in technical support role 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Programming skills (Python/SQL) 
  • Power systems understanding 
  • Proficiency in Excel 

 

Work Environment: 

  • Majority of work to be completed in an office environment 
  • Must have stable internet access or be able to come into Durham office 
  • Must be able to work on call shifts during evenings and weekends 
  • Occasional on-site visits

Salary : $56,000 - $63,000
