What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exceptional Children's Assistant Preschool Teacher position at Carolina Therapeutics?
Carolina Therapeutics Academy is currently hiring additional exceptional children's assistant preschool teachers to help provide educational instruction and behavior monitoring to children with special needs aged 2-6! Exceptional children's preschool teachers with Carolina Therapeutics Academy work as part of a team of both educators and clinical therapists under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Carolina Therapeutics Academy offers a modern, industry-leading half-day special needs day school program that includes comprehensive therapy services for children with special needs aged approximately two to six (2-6) years at Illumine Church located at 1689 Springsteen Road, Rock Hill, SC 29730, Monday through Friday, from the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The day school program includes an age-appropriate educational curriculum modeled after the Carolina Curriculum for Preschoolers with Special Needs and the Carolina Curriculum for Infants and Toddlers with Special Needs, as well as necessary therapeutic clinical services provided by clinicians employed by Carolina Therapeutics, PLLC, including ABA therapists, Speech therapists, Occupational therapists, and Physical therapists. From the hours of 12:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, clinicians from Carolina Therapeutics, PLLC, including ABA therapists, Speech therapists, Occupational therapists, and Physical therapists for children on the autism spectrum will provide therapeutic services on site after day school hours, to both students of Carolina Therapeutics Academy and clients of Carolina Therapeutics, PLLC. All exceptional children's preschool teachers are trained as registered behavior technicians, and If desired, an exceptional children's preschool teacher trained as an RBT can provide ABA therapy services to children during clinical hours.
All applicants must have an educational and/or employment background in early childhood education and/or special education and be willing to commit a minimum of 20 hours per week to providing care and educational instruction to students of Carolina Therapeutics Academy aged 2-6 years from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. All exceptional children's teachers employed by Carolina Therapeutics Academy will be required to undergo Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training and earn their RBT certification from Carolina Therapeutics, PLLC, prior to providing educational services to students of Carolina Therapeutics Academy. Carolina Therapeutics, PLLC, will provide and compensate applicants for this training. All Carolina Therapeutics Academy teachers will be required to pass a background check.
Applicants must be comfortable and experienced in dealing with children with special needs, including children on the autism spectrum.
