Carolina Utilities Company, LLC is seeking a Plumbing Superintendent.
Pay will be dependent on experience.
Job Duties:
- Manage & Coordinate crews; monitor crew performance.
- Relate specific instructions /direction to crew & assign specific tasks.
- Supervise tasks & assist in layout, fabrication, & installation problems as needed.
- Oversee crew to ensure material is installed per code & manufacturer requirements.
- Understand scope of work, plan submittals, & equipment requirements.
- Adhere to all safety regulations & ensure crew follows company safety standards.
Qualifications:
- 10 years of residential/commercial plumbing experience preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of the practices, methods, materials, tools, & equipment of the plumbing trade.
- Thorough knowledge of the prevailing codes of the plumbing trade.
- Ability to supervise the work of skilled/semi-skilled subordinates.
- Ability to analyze defects in plumbing equipment & determine necessary repairs needed.
- Ability to read & interpret blue prints & lay out work from the prints, rough plans, sketched, drawings, & broken parts.
- Ability to make estimates of labor/materials needed for plumbing jobs.
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with superiors, peers, & subordinates.
- Ability to create/manage schedules for multiple crews.
- Ability to lift up to 75lbs. on occasion.
- Ability to transfer 130lbs a distance of 12 feet with the help of another person.
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders & elevated structures.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Maintain a clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
- Must be able to pass DOT Physical.
