Job Summary:
Carolina Village, Inc. is a Life Plan Community (Continuing Care Retirement Community) that is proud to be a non-profit organization with a passion for delivering superior care for seniors within a beautiful, energetic community.
We are looking to add a member to our transportation and security team. This person will be responsible for monitoring the main entrance gatehouse, patrolling the grounds making rounds on the hour, transporting residents to and from scheduled visits, assisting Independent Living Support with house calls (may require EMS services - guide to location accordingly), transporting labs, and other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Frequently lifting and transporting up to 50-75 pounds variable distances
- Regularly required to talk, hear, and smell.
- Mobility and flexibility to use ladders and to access and work in confined spaces.
- Frequently required to use hands or fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls
- Frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Temperature in the workplace is varied, the ability to withstand lengthy periods of time in seasonal cold and heat of the outdoors is necessary.
- Able to be in a standing or sitting position for several hours.
Qualifications, Education, Experience:
- 5 year minimum driving history required with minimum or no traffic violations.
Licensure
- North Carolina Driver’s License (Required)
- CPR certified (Preferred)
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
- Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
- Must have visual and hearing acuity.
- Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
Must have a 5-year driving record with minimal to no traffic violations. A Motor Vehicle Report will be run as part of background screening and measured against insurance requirements.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
