Job Title: Healthcare Staffing Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Staffing Coordinator for the Healthcare areas is responsible for ensuring both facilities are appropriately staffed. This role primarily involves managing schedules, tracking attendance, filling staffing needs, managing vacation requests, and nursing staff payroll. The Staffing Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Nursing, HR, Staff Development Coordinator and additional nursing administration to maintain efficient and effective staffing levels.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Coordinate with nursing administration about open shifts.
- Monitor staff attendance and manage requests for time off.
- Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and hiring new nursing staff.
- Address staffing-related concerns and resolving conflicts.
- Assist with daily duties on the floor working alongside the nursing staff as needed.
- Assist with maintaining accurate and up-to-date employee records.
- Provide support during the new hire orientation.
- Processing of nursing staff payroll.
- Assist with maintaining resident records.
- Assist with providing coverage during weather or disaster-related conditions.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Qualification, Education, and Experience:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be a certified nursing assistant.
- Must be willing to obtain Med-Tech Certification for Assisted Living.
- Must be willing to obtain Med-Aide Certification for Skilled Nursing.
- Previous experience in a related position is preferred, not required.
- Must not be listed on the Health Care Personnel Registry with any substantiated finding.
Licensure/Certification Responsibility Requirements:
- Unencumbered and current registered/licensed Certified Nurse Aide Certification by the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services DHSR.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or electronic device.
- Must be able to lift twenty (20) pounds unassisted/fifty (50) pounds assisted.
- Ability to push and/or pull approved equipment such as wheelchairs with or without residents, meal carts, ice carts, beds, etc.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, stretching, and assisting residents with mobility.
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to handle long shifts, sometimes in fast-paced or high-stress environments.
- Must be prepared to act quickly and efficiently in emergencies, which may involve rapid movement or lifting residents to ensure their safety.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.75 per hour
