- Validating medical records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Applying utilization review criteria, clinical knowledge, and payer-specific rules to determine appropriateness of inpatient and observation services.
- Collaborating with the Utilization Review Manager and Physician Advisor to develop recommendations and improve utilization review processes.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all utilization review activities.
