Job Description
Job Summary : The Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, under the supervision of the Cath Lab Manager, Associate Manager and direction of the Cardiologist coordinates the technical and patient care component of cardiac and peripheral angiograms, interventions and other invasive procedures. He / she monitors patients during procedure and records hemodynamics; they also assist the physician in performance of all angiographic, interventional, implants and other cardiac procedures. He / she is responsible for all aspects of patient care in accordance with hospital and department policies and procedures. The Angiography Specialist must maintain a positive approach to working in a fast paced environment. Must take emergency call with a 30 minute response time.

Minimum Requirements :
- Graduate of an approved school with an Associate Degree in Radiology Science, Cardiovascular Technology, Professional Nursing, or Emergency Medical Science with Paramedic Certification.
- Registered by ARRT, RN, RECS or RCIS and two years' Cath Lab / EP experience required.
- For Paramedics with Associate in Applied Science in ENS with Paramedic Certification, must be registered with RCIS / RCES
- Maintain BLS certification.
- ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of employment and maintain current
- Deliver outstanding customer service that upholds CarolinaEast's Standards of Excellence
- THIS POSITION IS FOR A 13-WEEK CONTRACT ASSIGNMENT
- Salary will be $70.00 per hour plus applicable shift differential
- Contract employees will be assigned to specific divisions. To qualify, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in that specialty area.
- 40 hours per week / 80 hours per pay period
- 10-hour shifts or unit designated work hours
- Scheduled based on the needs of the unit
- This position is temporary and not eligible for benefits
- Hired for a 13-week contract not to exceed 26 weeks
