What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Office Assistant - CCOFS Verdae position at Carolinas Center for Oral & Facial Surgery?
The Administrative Medical Assistant's primary responsibility is to plan, organize and direct clinical and admin functions of the individual office. They participate in clinical and administrative duties and work closely with other clinical and admin team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Administrative Tasks
- Presenting treatment plans
- Preparing informed consent forms
- Preparing and sending referrals for tests/imaging/or other physician’s care
- Obtaining Prior Authorizations
- Obtaining results from lab orders/ medical clearance/ or imaging
- Helping to schedule patients
- Preparing letters using template for referring Doctors
- Taking clinical calls finding patient concerns and relaying information back to the doctor

Clinical tasks
- Setting up room for evaluation
- Seating patients
- Finding chief complaint
- If returning patient, how systems symptoms have changed, has patient followed recommendations
- Obtaining vitals and recording them
- Taking necessary radiographs
- Entering medications, medical alerts, and allergies into the chart
- Cleaning room after patient is dismissed

Monday- Thursday 8:00- 5:00 and Friday 8:00- 2:00
- Clinical time- 8:45-3:30

- Monday- Thursday from 8:00-8:45, when the doctor is in the room with a patient and you are between clinical tasks, and 3:30-5:00
- Friday 8-2:00
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
- RMA, CMA, or CCMA
or
- Completion of Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination
or
- other clinical certification/experience
