Start your career in oral surgery in a unique role that allows you to utilize both medical knowledge and dental skills to become a patient care advocate in the TMJ, sleep apnea, and chronic pain division. Here are some job duties you will perform:
- Triaging new patients (taking x-rays, reviewing medical history, creating detailed notes)
- Discussing/explaining treatment plans with patients
- Assisting doctor in minor procedures
- Taking intraoral scans, drawing up medications, setting up sterile and non-sterile surgeries, customizing splints
- Becoming a liaison between the patient and the doctor during continued patient care
This role requires the employee to travel with their doctor to satisfy the need for TMD care in the Charlotte Metro region but does offer mileage reimbursement. The ideal candidate enjoys building and fostering relationships with patients, is detail oriented, and is a self-starter that thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications:
- High school Diploma or Equivalent
- Current BLS certification
- Dental Radiology Certification
- Infection Control Training
