Medical Assistant/Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA)
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented medical professional to provide exceptional patient care at Carolinas Fertility Institute in Charlotte.
About the Role
This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication skills, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality care. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in women's health, specifically in OB/GYN and Labor & Delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Abstract patient charts and maintain accurate records
- Clean and set up examination rooms between patients, ensuring a clean and safe environment
- Assist with blood draws and take vital signs to monitor patient health
- Room patients and chaperone during exams and procedures, providing emotional support and reassurance
- Support medical providers with procedures and prepare instruments for sterilization
- Open electronic health records and accurately enter lab orders and IUI notes
- Verify patient information and attach relevant documents to charts
- Work as a medical scribe when needed, capturing critical information
- Pack biopsies and samples for laboratory analysis
- Assist with administrative tasks, including answering phone calls and responding to patient inquiries
Requirements
- Completion of a CMA course and active certification as a medical assistant or RMA
- At least 1 year of experience in phlebotomy, with certification preferred
- Associate's degree required
- 1-2 years of experience in women's health (OB/GYN) preferred
- Phlebotomy experience required
- BLS certification required
