Job Title: General Labor

Job Purpose:
The General Labor position involves performing various tasks to support production operations within the facility. This role is essential for maintaining efficiency, cleanliness, and safety standards in the manufacturing and processing of food products. General Laborers will work closely with team members and supervisors to ensure a smooth workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in various production and manufacturing tasks, including assembling, packaging, and inspecting food products.
Maintain a clean and organized work area by performing regular cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and organizing materials.
Support the production team in loading and unloading materials and products as needed.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production needs and any issues that arise during operations.
Perform quality checks on products to ensure they meet company standards and specifications.
Participate in training programs to learn various aspects of the production process and equipment.
Assist with inventory management by properly labeling, sorting, and storing materials and products.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving processes and safety measures.
Complete any other duties assigned by the production supervisor or team lead.
Skills and Competencies:
Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with others.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Basic math skills for measuring and counting products.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and equipment.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent (required).
Previous experience in a manufacturing or labor-intensive role (preferred).
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
Work Environment:
Warehouse and production environment with exposure to machinery and equipment.
Must be able to work in varying temperatures and conditions based on the season and production demands.
Physical Demands:
Frequent lifting, standing, walking, and bending throughout the shift.
Ability to handle repetitive tasks and remain focused during long periods of work.
