Job Description : Yard Dog / Spotter Truck Driver
Location : Elizabethtown, NC
Shift : 2nd Shift
Pay Rate : based on experience
Job Summary :
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Yard Dog / Spotter Truck Driver to join our team in Elizabethtown, NC. The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience driving a tractor-trailer. A CDL is preferred but not required. This position involves heavy lifting, moving trailers within the yard, and ensuring efficient yard operations during the 2nd shift.
Responsibilities :
Operate a yard truck to safely and efficiently move trailers to designated locations.
Perform heavy lifting as required to assist with yard tasks.
Spot trailers at dock doors and loading / unloading areas.
Inspect trucks and trailers for maintenance or safety concerns.
Work closely with warehouse and dock personnel to maintain an organized and functional yard.
Perform pre- and post-shift inspections of vehicles and report any issues promptly.
Follow all safety procedures and company policies during yard operations.
Requirements :
3 years of experience operating tractor-trailers or spotter trucks.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions.
CDL is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety protocols.
Reliable transportation to and from work.
Flexibility to work 2nd shift hours.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule :
Monday through Friday (2nd Shift hours).
Flexibility for occasional weekend shifts, if needed.
