Responsibilities:
- Perform licensed hygiene procedures as directed by the dentist.
- Establish and maintain patient relationships for continued care.
- Verify/document patient health history and educate patients on oral health/disease/procedures.
- Conduct clinical hygiene functions, including exposing/evaluating x-rays, taking blood pressure, adult/child prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal therapy, and co-assessing restorative treatments.
- Determine needs and perform sealant placement, Arestin, and fluoride treatments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Dental hygiene certification from an accredited dental school.
- Current hygiene license where employed.
- Maintain OSHA, HIPAA, BLS, and infection control training annually as required.
- Experience with dental software like Open Dental is preferred.
- Available for 3 twelve-hour shifts or a 4-day schedule with two days from 7am-4pm and two days from 10am-7pm.
