Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Provider to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with disabilities, and autism. As a Care Provider, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care and assistance in their daily activities at home and in the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to clients in their homes or designated care facilities.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for clients by maintaining hygiene standards and performing light housekeeping tasks.
- Support clients with mobility and heavy lifting as needed.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients while respecting their privacy and dignity in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and social workers to create and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status to appropriate personnel.
- Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being and emotional support.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or direct support roles is desirable
- Knowledge of working with individuals with autism or disabilities is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting with assistance and assist clients with mobility challenges.
- Understanding of medication administration protocols.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- A compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
