Job Summary:
Caroline County Public Schools is seeking a Temporary Part-Time Network Support Specialist to assist with organizing, documenting, and running network cables as part of ongoing network infrastructure upgrades. This position will play a vital role in ensuring the successful deployment of network improvements across multiple school locations. The selected individual will work independently and as part of a team under the direction of the Technology Department.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in running and terminating network cables throughout school buildings.
- Document network configurations, installations, and cable layouts.
- Support deployment efforts by organizing and labeling network infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the Technology Department to ensure timely project completion.
- Troubleshoot minor network connectivity issues as directed.
- Maintain accurate records of completed work and assist in clean-up efforts.
- Install security cameras and associated cabling at CCPS schools and buildings.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications preferred.
- Experience with basic network cabling, organization, or IT infrastructure is a plus.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and work on ladders.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions from supervisors.
- Availability to travel between multiple school locations as needed.
PAY & HOURS: This position is a part-time temporary position with a maximum of 30 hours per week. The duration will be from February 2025 to June 30, 2025 with a rate of pay at $25.00 per hour.
