We are seeking a Site Civil Engineer to assist in design and construction of municipal water and wastewater projects for our clients.

Responsibilities
- Performing civil engineering work in water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure, focused on site design project components including site layout, yard piping, roadways, paving and grading, and stormwater infrastructure
- Conceptual and preliminary design activities including site visits, overseeing fieldwork, alternatives analysis, and report preparation
- Hydraulic calculations and/or modeling
- Permitting and alternative analysis
- Assist with coordinating sub-consultant work
- Preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables
- Review contractor submittals for conformance with contract plans and specifications and evaluate requests for information as part of engineering services during construction
- Provide engineering services during construction
- Participate in field activities and site reconnaissance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field
- 0 to 4 years of directly-relevant experience in civil/site development
- Engineer-in-Training Certification (EIT)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to apply critical thinking to develop options and recommendations to solve technical problems
- Ability to develop working drawings for civil site plans (layout, piping, grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches (determines scales, layout, and need for specific detail)
- Experience with the planning and design of facility layout and site design projects
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project team
- Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with local utility codes and utility permitting process
- Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations/modeling software for stormwater management (StormWise™, InfoSWMM, HEC-RAS).
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Experience with Environmental Resource Permits
