Part Time, Office Staff at Dance Studio (English/Spanish Bilingual Required)
- The main duties of Front Office Staff are to make people feel welcome, answer questions, assist the children and demonstrate the integrity of the Carolyn Dutra Dance
Studio. Being the first person people see when the door opens and speak to when they call the Studio, you will be the face and voice of the Carolyn Dutra Dance Studio. It is essential to be kind and caring to children. Front-line customer service for a vibrant, bustling dancing school is at the core of this position. As Miss Carolyn reminds us, a smile goes a mile!
- This individual is responsible for handling client relations, answering phones and making calls, processing new enrollments, accounts receivable, class attendance and maintaining a clean and welcoming presence of the Studio. Other administrative duties include preparing studio flyers, merchandise , assisting at dance performances, and other day to day office activities. At times, office staff even assist in the classroom and with the children.

Job Responsibilities
- Welcome and orient visitors and clients
- Provide excellent overall customer service to all clients and be able to sell our product
- Answer calls and emails
- Manage day to day office tasks, business and administration
- Process payments, assist and oversee accuracy and timelines of accounts receivable and collections
- Assist and oversee accuracy of class rosters and attendance
- Ensure that the studio is safe and maintained in a neat and orderly manner.
- Maintain general tidiness of the studio, including dance rooms, bathrooms, waiting rooms and offices (ie. vacuuming, emptying trash bins, replacing paper goods in restrooms, etc.)
- Assist with flier distribution and display in waiting room – make sure current flyers are available
- Assist with children in class if needed.
Work Experience
- Experience working with children required.
- Experience in dance studio life preferred.
- Successful customer service experience
- Strong communication and public relations skills
- Office experience preferred
- Experience working with computers in general and MS Office (ie. Excel and Word)
Skills
- Must work well with both adults and young children
- Good telephone and verbal communication skills.
- Customer-focused disposition.
- Ability to maintain positive, cooperative, calm, professional and collaborative interaction with everyone.

- Some computer knowledge required, especially for email, our online account and registration system and MS Office

Education
- High school diploma, Some college
Pay
- Dependent on education, previous work experience, and hours available.
Locations: Cranston, Smithfield, Warwick Studios
Hours to fill: 4-12 hours available, may vary. Weekday afternoons, Saturday morning/afternoon
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
