DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the function and performance of all aspects of the organization’s financial performance.
- Provide executive leadership and support to the leaders across the Caron continuum.
- Actively participate and serve as a member of the Executive Leadership Team in the modeling, oversight and direction of the organization to achieve the Strategic Plan, Mission, Vision and Values of Caron.
- Assure and oversee the preparation and Board approval of the annual operating and capital budgets.
- Assure and oversee ongoing reviews and enhancements of written policies and procedures, internal controls and management processes for all functional areas to improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization.
- Assure and oversee preparation of regular financial and cash forecasts to ensure the organization is able to maintain adequate liquidity and to manage capital resources to support the long-term sustainability of Caron.
- Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization, e.g., evaluation of potential alliances, acquisitions and/or mergers, risk management, pension funds and investments, introduction of new programs/strategies, and regulatory action.
- Provide and present timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist the CEO/President, COO, the Board of Trustees, and other senior executives in performance of their responsibilities.
- Establish credibility throughout the organization and with the Board of Trustees as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
- Assure that Board Committees relevant to each functional area are fully informed and supported, including presentation of monthly financial statements to the Finance Committee and the annual audit to the Audit Committee and the Board of Trustees.
- Assure that Board Committees relevant to each functional area receive relevant information and reports. Facilitate meaningful committee meetings to provide education and receive guidance and approval of appropriate Investment projects and issues.
- Provide technical financial advice and knowledge to others within the organization.
- Maintain relationships with banks, investment advisors, lenders and other key stakeholders in the best interests of Caron.
- Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
- Provide advice and counsel on any contracts, transactions or other endeavors into which the organization may enter.
- Evaluate the structure and team plan for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals.

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to travel for conferences by air and other forms of travel.
- Must be able to present to audiences in large and small group settings, which may require long periods of standing and be of multiple presentations.
- Able to work remotely from home office. Must have appropriate space to work from, including computer access and high-speed internet access.
Education / Experience Qualifications:
- MBA in Finance, Accounting, or Business required.
- Five years’ senior management experience required.
- CPA and member of PICPA preferred.
- Must certify compliance with Pennsylvania Act 33.
- If in recovery, two years of uninterrupted sobriety preferred.
Knowledge, Skills AND Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be computer literate and familiar with most Microsoft products and network components.
- Must be able to set example as a leader that others that report to them want to follow with enthusiasm. Must possess a high degree of leadership skills both in theory and practice, including strategic planning and implementation of such.
- Must possess a high degree of organization skills and be able to pass this information to his/her direct reports.
