The Manager of Radiology Position Summary
This role exercises overall supervision of the department.
The incumbent assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and disciplines employees according to the general personnel policies of the hospital.
They identify, study, and assist in resolving problems relating to the department.
The manager oversees staff assigned to the department.
Competencies for the position must be completed within a designated introductory period.
Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
- Develops and manages the annual department operating and capital budgets
- Manages daily operations of assigned departments
- Manages performance of staff
- Has ability to hire, fire and discipline staff
Education, Licenses, and Certifications
A candidate for the Manager of Radiology position will possess the following qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of accredited Imaging Program (required), Bachelors or Masters degree (preferred)
- Experience: 5 years technical experience and 2 years Supervisor experience (required)
- Certifications: American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT); state license if required (required), Certified Radiology Administrator (CRA) (preferred)
