Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Clerk - IT Technician at our Temple, TX location. The IT Technician is responsible for the electronic and computer components of all plant production equipment installed, repaired, and maintained to assure the machinery is operating at an optimum production level necessary to manufacture product(s) for internal and external customers on a timely basis.

The successful candidate will be expected to communicate with the department lead person, supervisor and/or manager, as well as other members of management and employees in the department to make sure all scheduled and unscheduled repairs are completed in a timely manner.
Key Job Duties and Responsibilities include: The IT Technician is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting computer hardware and software systems, providing technical support to users by diagnosing and resolving issues related to network connectivity, software applications, and PC/Printer hardware malfunctions. This position is also responsible for pulling/terminating Cat6/Fiber Optic Cable as part of our network upgrades.
Minimum qualifications: Basic understanding of computer hardware/software, including Microsoft Windows/Office. Proficient at problem-solving, communication, adaptability, time management, analytical skills, attention to detail, understanding the root cause of issues, and the ability to gather relevant information to diagnose problems effectively. Also the ability to operate forklifts, clamp-lifts, genie boom, scissor lifts and other machinery as needed to accomplish tasks.
