We are seeking a Material Handler to join our team at our Fogelsville, PA manufacturing plant.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for efficiently and safely handling unfinished and/or finished product or material to ensure an orderly flow of raw materials and finished goods. The successful candidate will communicate with department supervisors, operators, and production personnel daily and maintain a well-organized work area that is safely stacked and properly labeled.
- Receive finished product at the end of the line.
- Inspect finished goods prior to passing on to the next process.
- Place correct labels on packaged materials.
- Read and follow route slips and daily schedules.
- Complete all required paperwork correctly and accurately.
- Assist with other areas of the production area as needed.
Responsibilities
The Material Handler will be expected to:
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Meet production and shipping schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- The ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
- The ability to operate a forklift.
- The willingness to be trained to operate machinery.
- The ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
