Carpenter Co. has an immediate opening for a Material Handler (Pin Puller) in our 2nd shift Fiber Department at our Conover, NC manufacturing plant.
Job Summary: Perform various functions associated with rolling fiber during routine fiber roll production.
Position Scope: Communicates with machine operators, department supervisor, and coworkers. Works in normal production environment with exposure to temperature changes. Major challenge of the position involves physically handling and controlling the pin on a routine basis in a proficient manner consistent with the speed of the fiber line production.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have basic reading, writing and math Skills.
Must have basic computer experience and be able to use a computer in day-to-day operations.
Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, holidays and call-in with little notice.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Must be able to work with little or no supervision.
Education: High school diploma or GED.
Experience: Manufacturing experience preferred. On the job training is provided
Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 4:00pm -12:30 am or until finished.
Hourly Rate: $19.57- $20.13 plus $1.00 shift differential
