We are currently hiring a Full Time Certified Remote Restorative Regional Coder .

The Remote Regional Coder (RC) primary function is to abstract and assign the appropriate ICD-10-CM / PCS codes to patient claims in order to obtain accurate reimbursement from governmental and non-governmental payors. The RC works in concert with the Corporate Director of Documentation and Reimbursement, facility HIM, Case Managers and Licensed Independent Practitioners to align coding services with the company’s overall Mission, Vision and Values to be a leading and respected healthcare system.
Essential Duties include :
- Ensures the quality and integrity of coding based on concurrent inpatient documentation review, which includes accurate assignment of principal diagnosis, secondary diagnoses, primary procedure and secondary procedures in the patient record and the appropriate code assignment based on established coding guidelines and conventions.
- Generate physician queries to clarify ambiguous, incomplete or conflicting documentation utilizing AHIMA's Code of Ethics.
