SPECIALIST III – EH&S
THE SPECIALIST III – EH&S WILL . . .
- Provides and recommends input to departmental resources on EH&S related matters
- Implements measures to help protect employees from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials
- Investigates accidents to identify root causes, reports results to management, provides recommendations and implements the necessary corrective actions
- Inspects and evaluates workplace environments, equipment, and practices in order to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations and provides recommendations for improvements, and implements those improvements
- Supports engineers/management in the institution of control and remedial measures for hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions or equipment
- Supports management and/or leads the EH&S training of employees
- Participates and/or leads in multi-discipline problem solving teams
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS FOR THE SPECIALIST III - EH&S
- High school diploma required.
- 2- or 4-year degree in related safety science field, engineering or manufacturing preferred.
- 5 years of safety or manufacturing experience.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Problem solving skills and abilities
