What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler/Forklift Carpet Cushion position at Carpenter?
Carpenter Company has an immediate opening for 2nd shift Material Handler / Forklift - Line Driver in the Carpet Cushion department at our Temple TX manufacturing plant.

Responsibilities of this position :
Operate powered industrial trucks to pick up, move, or load material in support of Carpet Cushion operations, as necessary, from production area and / or to the loading docks.
- Pull raw / finished materials from inventory / stock area.
- Properly label all partial blocks for future use.
- Operate a forklift in confined areas where other forklifts are operating and where employees are walking and working.
- Follow the Carpet Cushion department layout plan for proper storage locations.
- Read and completely understand the labeling process.
- Read and write English.
- Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe work environment
- Other related duties as assigned by management.
Skills / Requirements
Must have high school diploma or GED
Must be able to accurately read and interpret a basic tape measure
Must be able to read and completely understand the labeling process and read / write English
Must have forklift skills and pass certification
Basic computer skills
