Duties
- Prepare drywall surfaces for finishing by sanding, taping, and applying joint compound.
- Install drywall sheets according to specifications, ensuring proper alignment and secure attachment.
- Perform fixture installation and flooring installation as needed.
- Execute construction painting tasks to enhance the final appearance of walls.
- Apply stucco finishes where applicable, adhering to industry standards.
- Read blueprints accurately to determine project requirements and specifications.
- Collaborate with team members on restoration projects within the restoration industry.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on the construction site.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Drywall Finisher or in a similar role within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with construction estimating practices is preferred.
- Ability to plumb walls accurately for optimal installation results.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading to interpret project plans effectively.
- Experience working on various types of construction sites, demonstrating adaptability to different environments.
- Knowledge of restoration techniques is a plus.
