Summary:
The measure technician is a detail-oriented individual who will be responsible for visiting customers' homes to obtain accurate measurements for flooring installation. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, technical abilities and ability to work independently.
Duties:
Customer Relations
- Respectful to customers and homes/businesses
- Presentable and professional demeanor and communications to customers and contractors
- Ability to communicate in an effective and professional manner
- Comfortability in extending measurement area and sales potential
Technical Skills
- Ability to interpret blueprints, diagrams, and technical plans
- Understanding of measurements, proportions, and scaling
- Ability to visualize how different elements fit together within a space
- Understanding of subfloor types, materials, and typical problems (such as unevenness, moisture issues, etc.).
- Ability to evaluate surfaces accurately
- Understanding material coverage rates, waste factors, and product specifications.
- Ability to perform accurate calculations based on measurements and layout plans.
- Proficiency to learn software applications
Driving Skills
- Must have a clean driving record
- Drive in a respectful and mindful manner while use company vehicle
