Responsibilities:

• Head of all Estimating for Commercial Division.
• Receive bid requests, accurately and timely prepare estimated quantities of materials and supplies for purpose of Sales Team quoting to customers for materials only or flooring installation orders of vinyl, carpet, wood, tile or specialty floors.
• Works directly with the Sales Team to accurately complete project take-offs and support quoting by collecting and distributing all relevant plans/blueprints, specifications, bidding manuals, understanding flooring and supplies options, request for information (R.F.I.) and addendums.
• Utilizing Measure software, importing plans, scaling, building product list and properly detailing all areas of work.
• Gather and interpret other related information necessary to ensure completeness of the take-off.
• Properly log all discrepancies found in scope of bid request and communicate clearly what clarifications are needed in the form of a Request-For-Information direct to the general contractor or end user.
• Identify potential installation issues based on plans, visits to construction sites, products or requested designs. Communicate with Field Project Manager any relevant information.
• Overseeing daily Estimating operations, ensuring on-time information for bids with detailed accuracy. Responsible for prioritizing and scheduling of project take-offs based on bid due dates.
• Obtain cost quotes from vendors, suppliers for material specified on projects
• Your duties may include reviewing bid documents, verifying material quantities, providing multiple options of estimates, attending bid proposal or project meetings, and handling project options and or phases.
• Overseeing company Estimating procedures & developing new ones when needed.
• Working with your direct report to hone strategies for your areas of responsibilities.
• Participating in hiring and training lower-level staff or utilizing partner organizations to support growth.
• Building and maintaining relationships with decision makers at client, vendor, and partner companies.
• Work with Sales & Operations to develop Commercial Sales goals.
• Will work primarily with Commercial projects, but some residential Builder, and or Retail.
• Onsite visits to perform meet client needs after sale has secured the opportunity.
• Identify ideas to increase efficiency of materials purchase and installation efforts.

Requirements:

· While a degree is not required, we prefer an associate’s Degree in a trade or Industry-related field, or equivalent experience

· We prefer candidates with flooring industry experience or with a background of sales.

· You must be familiar with the floor installation process and the various materials used, such as hardwood, vinyl, carpet, lvp and tile.

· Proficiency with basic computer software

· The ability to read blueprints

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
