Senior Accountant
Carpet Tech is hiring an experienced Senior Accountant to help us keep growing. Carpet Tech is a family-owned and operated regional floor care and restoration company with a loyal customer base, a commitment to serving people well, and an excellent community reputation.
Please note, this position is located in office in our Lubbock, Texas corporate headquarters.
The Senior Accountant will ensure complete and accurate accounting records; oversee the treasury function and apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) in the performance of tasks.
JOB RESPONSIBILITES:
- Performs general financial accounting and other related duties for multiple companies.
- Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections.
- Manages the procurement cycle; validates all outbound payments in accordance with company policy.
- Provides Accounting Director with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform monthly close.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures and the ability to train others in related practices and procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
- Highly proficient with ERP systems and other productivity tools utilized by accounting and finance. (NetSuite and/or Ramp experience is a plus)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with intercompany accounting and allocations at multiple levels; GL reconciliations
EDUCATION:
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting (Required)
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 5 years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting (Required)
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Starting pay: $55,000 - $65,000 per year depending on experience.
