Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Manager to oversee the operations of our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all warehouse activities, ensuring efficient and safe storage, handling, and distribution of our flooring products. The Warehouse Manager will coordinate a smooth transition between sales staff and installation crews. The Warehouse Manager will play a crucial role in maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse processes, and leading a team of warehouse staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, and distributing flooring products.
- Preparation of daily installation jobs according to work orders, including pulling the correct inventory, installation products and necessary sundries for the installation crews
- Oversee and manage the loading of installation crews.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Perform inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate records of inventory levels.
- Implement and oversee warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Manage and train warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Coordinate with other departments to meet company goals and customer requirements.
- Monitor and manage warehouse equipment and maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address any delivery-related customer inquiries or concerns.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Manager or in a similar role within the flooring or related industry.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management software, internet usage, email, and other software programs including Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in logistics or warehouse management are a plus.
