What are the responsibilities and job description for the Instructional Assistant, Special Education position at Carpinteria Unified School District?
Carpinteria Unified School District is currently hiring an Instructional Assistant (Paraprofessional) to work with our Special Education population within our Elementary school campuses.
The hours for the shift will be set by the site administrator, but will generally follow the school day schedule. Monday through Friday, PT (6 hour) positions are available.
These positions will be for the 2024-2025 school year beginning ASAP.
The Instructional Assistant (IA) III is the 3rd level in a career path for instructional support to teachers. IA III’s are typically found in the areas such as labs, cued speech translation, or special day classes for our Special Education children with varying needs.
This position requires the equivalent of a high school diploma; minimum of 1 year of experience working with students or childcare is preferred.
